 SS03MSTT presents- OPERATION SAFEGUARD- 2 NOVEMBER 2013 OPSGPOSTER2_zps14b5e12a

OPERATION: SAFEGUARD

2 NOVEMBER 2013
Boron, California
Cost $20.00 per player

1 NOVEMBER 2013, Tijuana, Mexico, 0130 Hrs - White male, approximately 30 years of age, tries to cross Mexican / U.S. border onto U.S. soil. U.S. Customs and Border Patrol apprehend male subject, placing him in custody until proper officials arrive. Subject has no papers of citizenship from either side of  border. Furthermore, he does not speak English or Spanish of any kind. Though he speaks with an accent, possibly from somewhere within that of the Soviet hemisphere. There is no such translator working onsite.

1 NOVEMBER 2013, 2000 Hrs-   Two Central Intelligence  (CIA) finally arrive on scene along with a translator.  Subject is turned over for questioning.

Dialog

CIA Translator: Здравствуйте, меня зовут Agent Lang ЦРУ задать вам несколько вопросов. Вы хотели бы любой кофе или что-нибудь выпить?
Translation: Hello, my name is Agent Lang from the CIA to ask you some questions. Would you like any coffee or anything to drink?

Subject:  Я хотел бы стакан воды?
Translation:  I would like a glass of water please?

Lang:  Несомненно.
Translation: Certainly. (motions to the one of  the Agents.)

Lang:  Как Вас зовут? Почему вы здесь? Где находятся ваши документы? Очевидно, что вы русский. У вас нет документов о гражданстве или любой надлежащей идентификации. Итак, что же такое цель - попытаться креста у границы с США земле?
Translation: What is your name? Why are you here? Where are your papers? It is obvious that you are Russian. You have no papers of citizenship or any proper identification. So what is the purpose of trying to cross the  border to U.S. soil?

Translation:My name is Igor Boroff. I have no papers or Identification because I threw them into the fire back home in Mother Russia. I know the language you know as english, I have learned back as a schoolboy. I do not practice much. I understand somewhat of what you are asking. I will try my best to answer you in English.
Lang: Thank you for cooperating. Much appreciated. The question of why you are here still has not been answered.
Boroff: I am trying to defect from my country.
Lang: Defect? Why? For what reason would you want to defect from your homeland?  Don’t you love your homeland?
Boroff:  Yes, I do love the Motherland very much so. I had to leave for fear of my life.
Lang: Why do you fear for your life?
Boroff: For what I know….
Lang: For what do you know?
Boroff: Secrets….
Lang: Secrets? What type of  secrets?
Boroff: Secrets that my government is holding. If they find me they will kill me.
Lang: What? Why? What do you know???(She is starting to get agitated with Boroff’s hesitation in answering.)
Boroff: I just know too much.
Lang: Dammit!!! Tell me what you know or you will be locked up until we find out who you really are and deport you back to your government!
Boroff: NO! Please don’t do this! I want to comply in your confidence!
Lang:  Then talk to me. What do you know?
Boroff:  My government is looking to overthrow yours in a matter of  months. They have their plans and strategies. They have everything in their planning to take over your government. It is only a matter of time until they unleash their power on  the Western Hemisphere!
Lang: ( Her eyes widend) And you know this how?
Boroff: I am former KGB…

2 NOVEMBER 2013, 0900 HRS-  CIA  Agents  escort  Mr. Boroff  to a remote location in Boron, CA, an abandoned neighborhood and city outside of the  town of Barstow, to be extracted to another remote  location to be further questioned. They are met by the U.S. ARMY, USMC Force Recon, and a contracted PMC unit.  It is their job to escort, guard and keep CIA and the “package” safe from enemy hands. They are to treat all hostile forces with extreme prejudice.

Somehow, the INTEL leaked. Soviets and KGB received word of  the defection. They also received word of the rendezvous point of  the extraction. They know of Boroff’s intentions. The Soviets have sent out their ARMY, the RED ARMY FACTION,  SPETZNAZ  and the KGB to take care of the  “incident”  and, if necessary, unleash their high scale plans  into effect earlier than planned to bring the nation to its knees. They will stop at nothing to gain their superiority and gain control of the Western Hemisphere!

Basic Rules

Regen rules
Regen points will be marked approximately 300 meters (which is the approximate length of a military M4/M16 shooting range, = roughly 984 ft or 328yds) from the attack zone of play on both sides, marked with US and Soviet Flags. Once hit, walk to regen point, touch the flag and get back into the game.

Medics will also be used, 30 second count revives wounded. If  wait is too long, “bleedout”  and walk back to the regen point and come back in.  Remember “Deadmen don’t talk”, keep the Integrity and Honor intact! If  the Medic gets to you in time, you can talk while he is reviving you. Alotted time for a Medic to get to you is 5-10 minutes. After that it is considered a Bleedout. If Medic is hit he is down for 5 minutes in place. If he is taken fire upon while down, he may move out of  the line of fire. After his downtime is completed, he is back in the game.

NOTE: If you would like to be a Medic please state it when you register for this op.

Hit rule

A gun hit does not count.
Ricochets do not count.
Shots thru bushes count.
Anything within the torso area, limbs, hands and feet constitute as a hit. It is not highly recommended, as it happens way often, head shots also constitute as a hit (Please use caution when doing this).

When in doubt call it out. If you see your buddy get hit and he does not realize it let him know. He may have not have felt it with all his gear in the way.
Please do not call the opposing side’s shots out. If  you see that someone on the opposing side not calling their hits, bring it to the attention of  the  Lead of your faction so that he can bring it up to the OpCS(Operation Command Staff).

Surrender rule

A Surrender rule or Cold Kill will be in effect. Minimum engagement for this rule is set at 15ft. Again, use caution when approaching.

Grenade,Landmine and Clamore rule

Grenades- Only ThunderB sound grenades and equivalents may be used. No bbs are to be used within the grenades. Cornstarch baby powder may be used to signify a hit or blast effect.  Kill radius is 15ft upon detonation. Once a grenade is thrown it cannot be used again. Please label your core clearly so that it can returned to you.
“IF IT DOESN’T GO BOOM,  IT DOESN’T CLEAR  ROOM!”

Rubber grenades are not authorized at this event.

Flashbangs or any grenade that produces a flame are not authorized.

Smoke grenades are also not authorized.

M203 Grenades- May be used by using an M203 launcher. Kill radius is 15ft upon impact.  Only Nerf or equivalent stem-type football grenades can be used as M203 grenades.

Landmines and Clamores- These can be used with bbs. Claymores are to be used by remote only. No trip wires.

Goggle rule

Goggles/safety glasses are to be kept on at all times when engaging in the AO. Do not remove unless given the ok by OpCS. If your glasses start to fog up, call out, “Blindman!”.  Remove yourself from the line of fire and clear your glasses. Be sure to use the buddy system to cover you. Your goggles or safety glasses should exceed ANSI Z87.1 impact test standards.
Mesh goggles and facemasks may also be used.

Radios-

Radios are optional. However, they are highly recommended for this op. Frequencies will be given at  time of the op. UHF/ GMRS/FRS – Motorola, Midland, and Cobras or equivalent  will  suffice.
